One sunny afternoon, a little boy named Sam was playing in his backyard when he heard a faint whimpering sound. Curious, he followed the sound and found a small puppy hiding under a bush. The puppy looked scared and lost.
Sam gently picked up the puppy and carried him inside. “Mom, look! I found a puppy!” he exclaimed. His mother smiled and helped him give the puppy some water and food.
They asked around the neighborhood, but no one knew where the puppy had come from. After a few days, Sam’s mother told him that they could keep the puppy if no one claimed him.
